Regaining balance on unbalanced days

You know those days when you wake up late, only to remember that you meant to get coffee from the grocery store but you didn’t? Days that leave to you feeling rushed, frazzled and doomed before they’ve even started?

Here are a few ideas for getting back on track on unbalanced days:

  • Address your most pressing tasks, but take time to relax after. Use timers or phone reminders to prompt you to start or end a task.
  • Don’t beat yourself up, but make a game plan to avoid a repeat of the situation.
  • Go outside, even for just a few minutes, to gain some physical and emotional distance when you feel drained.
  • Break the vicious cycle of overcompensating for lack of productivity by staying up late, drinking extra caffeine, or postponing self-care tasks to make more time for work.

Working with a coach can help you define actions to take now if unbalanced days are the story of your life. E-mail me, or better yet, schedule a call to find out more.
